Circle of Sentiments

I think I have the ultimate job! Who wouldn't want to review cool new products for hip moms? I'm in a tizzy because I got this beautiful necklace in the mail from Circle of Sentiments.

It has three sterling silver discs on it with my girls named hand stamped, one on each disc. The discs came on a sterling silver fine ball chain and the quality is excellent!

Circle of Sentiments offers lots of different options so get ready because you are going to want one of everything! Circle of Sentiments hand stamps the letters, which makes them a unique treasure and you can add to your necklace as new babies arrive! What a wonderful treasure for a mom, grandmother, aunt, friend or sister. These necklaces would make a great bridesmaid gift too!

You aren't limited to names only. You can choose initials, names or a favorite phrase and you can choose from different disc sizes and shapes and even add birthstones and charms to adorn your necklace. There are endless possibilities! You really have to check out Circle of Sentiments and see all of the treasures you are missing!

Mama Says, "No More Frozen Pizza!"

Pizza again?! Yikes! Mama Says, "No more frozen pizza!"

Although frozen pizzas have come a long way from those hard discs with tiny cubed pepperoni, the thought of having yet another one because frankly you don't have any better ideas and your tummy is a grumbling is very tempting...no more!

I remember being on my own, in my own apartment, and having a stellar frozen food selection in my freezer and then getting married, on the phone practically every night having mom dictate a menu, along with ingredients and a lesson of how to so I could feed my family something other than mac and cheese, frozen chicken nuggets and a frozen vegetable.

Well, I still resort to the "easy meal" more often than I'd like to because of convenience and did I say EASY. The problem I have is that I have two little ones, another on the way, a husband that's always starving when he gets home and an online boutique to run along with a little social media thrown in, so I get overwhelmed and throw in the towel. A lot of the cookbooks these days have a ton of ingredients, some of which I've never heard of, and just looking at the recipe makes me cringe!

That's why I'm excited to share with you a new cookbook that came out called Mama Says,"No More Frozen Pizza". It has 24 nutritious, delicious recipes that are geared for the new cook, but are also great for the busy mom! I like the recipes because they use simple, usually on hand ingredients and they feed four, which is perfect for a family that has small children because you aren't left with the same meal for the rest of the week!

We tried the Sir Fried Beef with Onions with a side of the Garlic Green Beans and they were a hit with the entire family! Thanks to Mama Iris and Mama Lynn, I have a family with satisfied tummies and still have time to send some tweets out to my Twitter friends. Yippee!

Little Miss Clips

Well, I’ve got two little girls, one with long thick hair and one with short hair. One, my 4 yr old, loves to wear hair accessories and will do korkers, headbands, barrettes, side pony tails…you name it she’ll let you do it to her hair. My other daughter, the one with the shorter hair, cannot stand anything in her hair, so I get sad that I can’t do the cute little things I do to her older sister because she’ll pull her hair candy out and then she looks like a lost puppy dog with her hair in her face.
I don’t know about you, but I love to look at my girls faces and gaze into their big brown eyes. Boy was I surprised when I tried out Little Miss Clips! My 4 yr old was eager to try out the darling clips…she already has a favorite…the pink camo with a little bling, which is what she’s all about! My 2 year old surprised me. I put the clip in her hair and we headed out to the mall to do some winter shoe shopping. I thought for sure that by the time we got to the mall parking lot the darling little clip would be MIA or at least halfway pulled out, but to my surprise, there it was! Not only was it still there, it was in the same spot that I had placed it in her hair to hold her wispy bangs out of her eyes until bath time!
My friends, this NEVER happens! Little Miss Clips don’t slip! They have designed their clips so that they stay put like a clip was intended to do, right?! I whole heartedly recommend Little Miss Clips! They come in so many different designs and colors, they stay put and they are very well made!

Lollitops

When the Lollitop arrived and I opened the package, my 4 year old saw it and immediately wanted it. In hot pink with a big pink flower the ‘Hot Cha Cha’ is so stinkin’ cute! My daughter wanted to try it on right away and I’ll tell you what, it’s even cuter on! I’m always putting fun things in my 4 year old’s hair because she has this long, thick, smooth hair to die for and she’s a cutie, so I like to see her darling face too. Well, the Lollitop is the icing on the cake! And, talk about a head turner! Not one, not two, but about a half a dozen people stopped me at the store asking where I got such an adorable creation!
Well, not only is the Lollitop a hat that will keep my dear daughters head toasty from the Fall chill, but it’s also a purse! It never fails, every time we go anywhere, I end up holding not only my purse and jacket, but my daughters belongings too. Especially accessories like hats and jackets. At this point, shopping is not fun anymore because I no longer have a hand to hold on to any merchandise. What’s neat about the Lollitop is that when my daughter got tired of wearing the adorable hat, I just tied the long ribbon ends together and voila, she had a sweet little purse hanging from her shoulder. I even gave her a dollar to stick in it so it made it even more worth while for her to carry her own belongings.
So, now I HAVE to get my 2 1/2 year old her own Lollitop because number one, I have to buy two of everything these days because otherwise there is always someone crying and yelling ‘mine!’, number two they are so stinkin’ cute and number three I have baby number three on the way and it would be so cute to get all three girls wearing their Lollitops in a picture. You have to go check out their website http://www.lollitopsusa.com/ and see all of the adorable designs. I think I’m going to have a hard time choosing just two!

Kiddie Kaps

So, I’ve been pretty lucky lately because all of the items I’ve been sent to review are items that I have truly needed right at that moment. So, when I received the Kiddy Kaps in the mail…once again perfect timing! I have a 2 1/2 year old that has grown very attached to her Dora cup and every day the first thing out of her mouth is ‘cup’ and it can’t be just any cup, it has to be that particular type of cup. So, we are trying to wein her from that cup and so far at bedtime we’ve gotten her to drink out of a water bottle before bed.

Well, the problem with the water bottle is that on more than one occasion, the bottle has spilled and pjs and sheets have to be changed. Not what I want to do every night when trying to get kiddos to sleep, toys picked up and actually get a chance to sit still for a few before I’m off to bed. Well, the Kiddy Kap has come to my rescue!

Pop Pals

Winter is approaching and the last thing on your mind would be a freezer pop, right?! Well, think again! The cold/flu season is upon us and you are going to need to stock up on Pedialyte frozen pops for when your little ones are sick. This is where the Jumbo Pop Pal will become yours and your child’s best friend. Pop Pals are fun and easy to use. They fit over the freezing cold ice pop to act as a barrier between the ice cold pop and your child’s hands. Thus, no more having to waste paper towels and napkins to keep little hands warm from the ice cold pop.
My daughter loved the Pop Pal design and after using it for her Italian ice pop, wanted to play with it using it as a pet for her Barbie dolls. Now, I know this is not the intended use for the Pop Pal, but it was cute all the same! The Jumbo size Pop Pal can also be used with yogart tubes and the Original size Pop Pal is good for standard ice pops like Otter pops. Hint, hint…Pop Pals would make great stocking stuffers!

The Do-N-Slide

The Do-N-Slide could not have come at a better time. My daughter is 4 years old and I’m trying to teach her about responsibility, giving her small chores like feeding the family dog every night and putting her clothes in the laundry basket after her evening bath. Now, she is having fun conquering her tasks because she gets to slide the task over from “To Do” to “All Done” and at the end of the day, I give her a little treat for a job well done.
The Do-N-Slide comes with 20 pre-printed cards, 6 blank cards to personalize, 7 days of the week cards to place at the top of the board, and a durable plastic case to hold the picture cards. This is a product that can be used for your toddler on up to your teen. There are cards for potty training which give tips to the child to help remind them to flush the toilet and wash their hands, there are toddler aged cards to give them easy tasks to teach them responsibility like putting away their toys and brushing their teeth and there are cards that you could use for your teen like mowing the lawn and helping out it the kitchen.

The Do-N-Slide is a smart product invented by a smart mom! It makes doing chores fun and will make your child feel a sense of accomplishment as he/she completes the task you both have picked together. And hey, if it isn’t working out, the Do-N-Slide comes with a 30-day money back guarantee. You can’t go wrong!

Milky Way Rice Crispy Treats

I got this recipe from a fellow mom blogger (Jill from http://www.alexcaseybaby.com/) and had to pass it on because it sounds so extremely good and with all that Halloween candy our kiddos are going to bring home, we have to get creative on ways to use it...right!? Get ready to excite your tastebuds...

Here's what you'll need:

6 Milky Way chocolate bars
1 stick of butter
2 cups of marshmallows
4 cups of Rice Krispies
1 bag of chocolate chips

Here's what you'll do:

Melt the chocolate bars and the butter. Have the kids unwrap the chocolate for you as you stir. Measure out the marshmallows and melt those in as well, stirring so as not to burn the mixture. Toss in the cereal. Line a 13" x 9" baking dish with waxed paper and pour the mixture in and spread it evenly. Melt the chocolate chips and put it over the top. Refrigerate and cut into squares.

Maternity Tees from Spegg Wear

Like most pregnant women, comfort is a must for me, but looking great while being comfortable is also very important during a time when my skinny jeans stop fitting and a rubber band no longer works because my tummy is just too big. No longer do women wear shirts that look like a tent hiding their baby bump. We want to look hot no matter what changes our body is going through and that’s what makes the t-shirts from Spegg Wear perfect for showing off that darling baby bump. My favorite is their Love Bump Tee! It’s chocolate brown and pink (my two favorite colors together), has a boat neck and looks great with my Rock and Republic maternity jeans! It’s made from 90% cotton and 10% spandex so it has a perfect stretch to show off all the new curves baby is giving you. This will be one of your favorite maternity tees! Go to Spegg Wear to see all of their maternity t-shirt designs as well as fun t-shirts for Dad and baby too!

So, I came across these uber cute bottles and don't really care what is in them, but got excited to hear they are from a perfume line from none other that Gwen Stefani, the ultra hip, super cool mom of Kingston! The line consists of five scents: The first four are named after Gwen's back-up dancers -- Love, Angel, Music, and Baby -- while the fifth scent "G", which smells like tropical and coconut, represents the leader of this gotta have it group.

Each of the beautifully designed bottles come with two pieces: a glass base that holds the smell-good stuff and hides the sprat top, and a personalized doll that lifts off the base.

Now for the exciting news. This September, 2008, Gwen, Love, Angel, Music and Baby are coming to the Macy's perfume counter. Harajuku Lovers, a collection of fruity and floral fragrances will soon be available for big girls and little girls alike. The adorable bottles designed in the likenesses of Gwen, Love, Angel, Music and Baby come in five fragrances. Boutique Bibs from The Apple of My Eye

The Apple of My Eye just added designer boutique bibs to their ever growing inventory and boy are they cute! Using only designer fabrics, the same they use on their Original Changing Clutch, these bibs will make a great baby shower gift or a great addition to your own babies posh (that's another word for fancy) wardrobe.

The Apple of My Eye bibs are machine washable which all moms love and come in an array of designer fabrics. The back of the bibs are made of a bumpy gripper fabric that will help keep the bib in place, so hopefully the spills land on the bib and not the hand made designer top you just ordered from a cute boutique you found on the web that only makes OOAK items. At ($15) these bibs are a must-have for babies everywhere.

Can't Get Enough of Initials and Names

I don't know what it is about an initial t-shirt, but I can't get enough of them. I recently came accross some at Tote and Tee and got my girls the cute red one to the left. I plan on getting their picture done before baby #3 comes and I thought how cute these would be for the big sis and little sis to wear together before little sis becomes a big sis too.

The moment I found this site I first fell in love with their lunchboxes. They are so adorable and so unique that your tot will be able to find his/her lunchbox in a jiffy because it won't look like everyone elses who got theirs at Target or Walmart. I had gotten my kidlet the princess lunchbox because that's the one she saw and wanted and now wish I had waited to get one from Tote And Tee. Maybe when she starts Kindergarten I'll splurge on one from Tote and Tee.

These days moms and dads are moving in this fast paced world at an even faster pace than ever before. Making life and responsibilities easier, yet fashionable is every manufacturers goal and one mom has achieved this goal.
The Original Changing Clutch has EVERYTHING right at your fingertips. The clutch holds 2-3 diapers, a wipes holder and the changing pad wraps around all your supplies and the end result is a cute clutch. You have everything at your fingertips to change a dirty diaper without “looking” like you are on the way to change a dirty diaper. If you'd like to order a clutch you can find them at The Apple of My Eye.

The Wee Review

The Wee Review posted a very nice blog about the recycled t-shirts I am carrying from Little Overcoat. You'll have to check out their site. They have some great product reviews and I really enjoy reading their blog.

I was really excited because this was the first blog The Apple of My Eye has been published in. So, I guess we have made some progress! All the work is paying off little by little, but I don't want to get too excited...not until that big order from Nordstrom comes in...then I can get excited!

Little Overcoat

Katie makes children's clothing made of recycled and new European materials.Inspired by the tale of an old man who had a little overcoat, and when it became too old he made it into a vest. And when the vest became too old, he made it into a tie. And when the tie became too old, he made it into a button. She uses as much recycled materials as possible--you never know what a little overcoat can lead to! You can find her products at The Apple of My Eye or Etsy. You'll be pleased with her craftmanship and quality! I am!
